It's a Big World Ahead

Wow! Such an AMAZING response coming from my most recent deviation! I want to thank everyone for such overwhelming support for my new muse. :D

But, underneath this photo there is an underlying message. Most of you read about my recent change in work on my last journal entry. Well, as of yesterday, I am unemployed. Worst part of it all, since I am in sales, I was released due to "poor performance" when really, they tried every way possible to start laying off people without having to pay severance.

So, for the time being, I am jobless. But, luckily, some friends of mine are willing to hire me as their house cleaner (omg, really!?) but I cannot complain and should just be grateful that something has come along for the time being. Plus, I can concentrate on shooting more pics of my newest muse.

So a question to everyone: do you think it's worth it to make PRINT available for pics of my new kitty?

Welcome to the ranks of the unemployed darlin'! It's tough out here, not a lot of companies are hiring in this recession. Thank goodness for Unemployment checks or I would be living on the streets. As for the prints of your baby, honestly, they're adorable and probably would sell, but from an unemployed person's viewpoint, I have stopped buying prints because they were a luxury during the time that I was working and now it's just not something I can allow myself to spend money on. I only state this because I wouldn't want to see you lose valuable resources for something that may not make you a profit. Not because it's not good enough to sell but because a lot of people have stopped spending right now. I wish you the best of luck whatever you do!'s

I'm with :iconinarasera:. I WOULD buy it...but I'm currently broke, as I'm sure a lot of other people are. If the set-up cost is a minimal fee (I don't know how much these things cost to set up) then I'd go for it, simply for the couple people who can afford to buy prints.

Honestly, though? Go to Kinkos, print off a bunch of them on 11x17 semi-gloss cardstock. It's about $1.50 each, and then go to a poster sale somewhere and sell them for like $3-5. Small profit, but I feel like people would gobble them up. Maybe target a college campus around August if you can.

I hope that helps at least a little. I love your work. Keep it up! :) I'm sure something will come your way soon enough.

On closer inspection, it actually doesn't cost anything to make a print on devart, and you can totally make a profit on it. I say go for it! :)

You're never really defeated until you give up the fight. And this is a hurdle you've overcome before. You'll find the way out. And I know you have more than just the temporary housecleaning fix in the works.
:iconpandashekki:
that's actually a really good idea! another guy i met mentioned i should drop off card stocks at hotel concierges... and if they like my work, they might ask me to have some of my stuff in their gift shops. might be kind of interesting to try?

i would pay you to be my pool boy. 2 catches: there's no pool, and i'm very demanding. also the term "pay" is kind of loose.

all kidding aside, i completely feel your pain, i lost my "good" job and now i work like 15 hours a week in a coffee shop whilst trying to pay for text books. we should do a travelling summer variety show.
:iconpandashekki:
variety show! oh man i used to be a part of a group that did that! i miss those days T_T
